USING MEMORY MANAGERS
If you use a memory manager such as EMM386, 386MAX, or QEMM, add
an EXCLUDE statement to your CONFIG.SYS file to prevent your
memory manager from using the area occupied by your EtherEZ
adapter.
For example, if your adapter is going to use the factory default
RAM window of CC00-CFFF, the EXCLUDE statement for EMM386 is:
DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS X=CC00-CFFF
Microsoft Windows 3.x and Windows for Workgroups users must also
exclude the RAM Window from the "386 Enhanced" area of the
SYSTEM.INI file in the WINDOWS subdirectory. For example:
[386Enh]
EMMEXCLUDE=D000-D3FF
If you use a memory manager other than EMM386, refer to the manual
that came with it for information on how to exclude memory.
