	     Brief Introduction of the Network Diagnostics
	     ─────────────────────────────────────────────

1. This Network Diagnostics Program consists of three major tests :

   a. Board Test      : Testing whether or not the pocket adpater exists and
			auto-detecting the hardware configuration the pocket
			adapter uses.
   b. Network Test    : Performing the data-transfering test between the sender
			and the responder.
   c. Setup Responder : Establishing the responder to perform the Network test.

1. Highlight "Board test" on the main manu and press Enter.
   NOTE: Don't do any other tests before the "Board test" is passed.

   That will perform the following tests.

   a. NIC Controller Test.

   b. RAM Contents Test.

   c. EEPROM Contents Test.

   d. Internal Loopback Test.

2. Performing Network Test.
   NOTE: A responder should be set up on the network before performing this
	 test.

   a. Highlight the " Network Test" option and press Enter.

   b. Select the number of times you would like to perform the test and press
      Enter.

   c. Choose the packet pattern to be used for the test and press Enter.

This test will search for a responder over the network. If no responder is
found, an external loopback test will be performed. If a responder is found,
the program will send and receive packets to and from the responder the number
of times selected.


4. Settig up a responder.

NOTE: A responder is to be used in conjunction with the network test. This
      procedure must be done on a machine other than the one to be tested.

   a. Highlight the "Setup Responder" option and press Enter.

   b. Your machine is now setup as a responder for testing another machine
      running the network test.

5. Using ON-LINE help.

   a. Press "F1" at any time for a help screen.
