NDC 10/100 Auto PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter Diagnostic Program

Before you install the drivers and connect the 10/100 Auto PCI Fast Ethernet 
Adapter to the network, make sure to run the diagnostics to assure the proper 
function of the 10/100 Auto PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter. The diagnostics includes 
two groups of test :

   1. Card initialization and loopback test

      This test performs the function of verifying the components, connectors,
      and circuitry.

   2. Network test

      This test performs the data transmission and reception of the adapter.
      A screen menu provides you with the instructions to conduct this test.

Packets sent    : To indicate the number of frames which are sent from the 
                  10/100 Auto PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter.

Packets received    : To indicate the number of frames which the 10/100 Auto
	              PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter are received.		 	 

Packets sent FIFO underflow errors    : To indicate that the 10/100 Auto PCI
					Fast Ethernet Adapter encountered an
					empty transmit FIFO while transmitting
					a frame.

Packets sent NO carrier errors    : To indicate that the carrier signal from
				    the transceiver was not present during 
                                    transmission.

Packets sent collision    : To indicate the total unmber of collisions.

Packets received alignment errors    : To indicate the CSR error and dribbling
                                       bit errors.

Packets received FIFO overflow errors    : To indicate received FIFO overflow 
					   errors.
