Using the PCI Ringnode with memory managers
-------------------------------------------
If you are using EMM386, we recommend that you use EMM386 version 4.49
(or later) which is shipped with MS-DOS version 6.22. If your Ringnode
is not functioning correctly, and you are using an older version of
EM386, you should upgrade to v4.49 or later.
A possible alternative to upgrading your memory manager is to exclude
the area of memory used by the PCI Ringnode. The start of the memory
area used is reported by the Madge diagnostics program, DIAG.EXE,
and is 4K long.
Note, however, that each time you change the configuration of your
computer, for example, by adding or removing a board, the area of high
memory that your system allocates to the PCI Ringnode is likely to
change.
