System Resources
The EtherLink 16 adapter uses three system resources:
- I/O address range
- Interrupt level
- Memory address range
The adapter's options are factory-set with the following settings:
- I/O base address 300
- Interrupt level 3
- Memory base address D0000
Before you install the adapter, make sure that these settings do not conflict
with similar settings on other peripherals.
Listed below are commonly used peripherals and the adapter option settings
they might conflict with. If any of these peripherals are installed in your
computer, check which resources they are using and make sure that the
EtherLink 16 options are not set to use the same resources. Other
peripherals not mentioned in these lists may also cause conflicts.
NOTE: The codes in parentheses following a peripheral name indicate that
the information applies only to those types of computers.
PC -- IBM PC
XT -- IBM PC/XT
AT -- IBM Personal Computer AT
PS/2 -- IBM Personal System/2 models containing the Industry
