The Windows 95 Driver (DC6X0.PDR) supports the Tekram IDE Caching Controllers
which use firmware/BIOS version 2.0 or higher.
Cards supported by this driver: DC-600CD/600CF/600C, DC-620B, DC-680T/C/CD,
DC-690B/C/CD (w/ATAPI Disabled)...

Note1: The DC-690CD uses driver DC690W95.ZIP - Unless you are using 1 or 2 
       DC-690CDs in the same system with the ATAPI port(s) disabled, in which
       case DC6X0W95.ZIP (this file) is the driver to use...
Note2: The DC-690C can work with this driver if JP3 is set to pins 1-2.
Note3: The drive type in CMOS setup should be set to "Type 1".

Installation instuctions:

I. 1st time installation

   1. Install Windows 95
   2. Open an MS-DOS prompt
   3. Change directory to C:\WINDOWS\INF
   4. EDIT the "MSHDC.INF" file
   5. Find [BAD_IDE] section
   6. Add the following statement to the [BAD_IDE] section:
      [BAD_IDE]
      copyfiles=@esdi_506.pdr

   7. Save MSHDC.INF and exit the MS-DOS prompt

   8. Open the "Control Panel"
   9. Open "System" and Select "Device Manager"
  10. Select "Hard disk controllers"
  11. Double click on "Standard ESDI IDE Controller"
  12. Click on "Driver"
  13. Click on "Change driver"
  14. Click on "Have disk"
  15. Change source path to "A:\win95" or the directory where the driver is
  16. Click on "OK"
  17. Click on "OK"
  18. Click on "Yes"    //restart pc yes/no?//


Note: If there is no driver tab in step 12, remove the "Standard IDE
      Controller", go to Control Panel, select "add new hardware",
      do not search for new hardware, choose Hard Disk Controllers and
      "Have Disk". Then enter the path to the new drivers.

  19. Open "Control Pannel"
  20. Select "Add New Hardware"
  21. Select "No"
  22. Click on "Next"
  23. Select "Hard disk controller"
  24. Click on "Next"
  25. Click on "Have disk"
  26. Type "a:\win95"
  27. Select "Tekram IDE Cache Controller(DC6X0-CD(F))"
  28. Click on "Next"
  29. Click on "Next"
  30. Click on "Finish"
  31. Click on "Yes"   //restart pc yes/no?//
  32. Shutdown the computer and reboot

====> After rebooting:
   Check the Hard Disk Controller in Device Manager to see if there is an
   exclamation point in front of it. If there is, check the resources. The
   card should be using Interrupt 14. Make sure it is not using 15.

II. Driver update

   1. Enter "Device Manager"
   2. Select "Hard disk controllers"
   3. Double click on "Tekram IDE Cache Controller(DC6X0-CD(F))"
   4. Click on "driver"
   5. Click on "Change driver"
   6. Click on "Have disk"
   7. Change source path to "A:\win95"
   8. Click on "OK"
