Due to the nature of PnP, the Windows 95 Driver (DC690.PDR) can only support
one DC-690CD as the Primary IDE card. If you are using 1 or 2 DC-690CDs in
the same system with the ATAPI port(s) disabled, use the driver for the other
DC-600 Series cards - DC6X0W95.ZIP
1. This driver is only for the DC-690CD. For the other DC-690 models, use
the driver in DC6X0W95.ZIP
2. The Drive_Type in your system CMOS must be on Type_1. If the drive type
is set for Not Installed it will not work in 32-Bit mode under Windows
95.

1. Boot Windows 95 and click on "Start"
2. Select "RUN"
3. Type "A:\win95.pci\install.exe"
4. Follow instruction step by step to install driver
5. Click on "Next"
6. Select "No" and Click on "Next"
7. Select "Hard disk controller"
8. Click on "Next"
9. Click on "Have disk"
10. Type "a:\win95.pci"
11. Select "Tekram PCI IDE Cache Controller (DC690-CD)"
12. Click on "Next"
13. Click on "Next"
14. Click on "Finish"
15. The message "To finish setting up your new device driver you must
restart your computer. do you want to restart your computer now"
will be on the screen. Click on "YES" and restart computer.

After Windows 95 reboots, it'll then dectect the DC-690 as a new Primary PCI
IDE controller and require you to re-boot. Select "NO" to proceed. The
system will go on to detect the Secondary IDE controller and ask to re-boot.
Then press "YES".

There should be three controllers under the Device Manager in Windows 95
after the install:
1. DC-690 Primary
2. DC-690 Secondary
3. Tekram DC-690 PCI Controller

1. Click on "Start"
2. Select "RUN"
3. Type "A:\win95.pci\uninstal.exe"
4. The message "To finish un-installation you must restart your computer,
do you want to restart your computer now"
will be on the screen. Click on "YES" and restart computer.
