        ________________________________________________________________

        1. DTC3X80 / DTC3X70 / DTC3X50 driver package for Windows NT includes
           the following files:

                README
                OEMSCSI.SYS
                OEMSETUP.INF
                TXTSETUP.OEM
                OEM_SCSI

        2. The first step is to create a DTC3X80 / DTC3X70 / DTC3X50
           Manufacturer-Supplied Support Disk.

           A. Format a blank diskette. (No label required)

           B. Copy OEMSCSI.SYS, OEMSETUP.INF, TXTSETUP.OEM and OEM_SCSI
files from the DTC driver package to the this blank diskette.

        3. Insert the Microsoft Windows NT Setup Disk for CD-ROM into the
drive "A:" on a computer for installing the Windows NT system.
Note that a CD-ROM drive is required for the installation. Since
           the DTC3X80 / DTC3X70 / DTC3X50 driver is not a built-in driver
in the Windows NT, the user needs to add the driver during the
setup procedure described in the following setps.

        4. Boot the computer and the first screen from NT will show:

                Welcome to Setup

           Simply press "ENTER" to continue.

        5. The next screen will show:

Windows NT provides two Setup methods .....

Press "C" to run the custom setup.

         6. NT will then scan for the built-in host adapter drivers and
           show:

Setup has recognized the following SCSI Adapters in your
           computer:

           (none)

Because the DTC driver is not a built-in driver in this Windows
NT version, the user is required to configure additional SCSI
           adapter by pressing "S".

        7. On the next screen, NT will show the available drivers to add.
           The DTC3X80 / DTC3X70 / DTC3X50 driver is in the category of:

Other (Required disk provided by a hardware manufacturer)

Select this category and press "ENTER".

        8. NT will prompt to insert into the drive "A:" a diskette:

           Manufacturer-supplied support disk

Insert the diskette you prepared in the step 2.
           simply press "ENTER".

        9. NT will check the floppy and show:

           OEM SCSI for DTC3X80 / DTC3X70 / DTC3X50

           Press "ENTER".

        10. After NT scan the hardware and find the controller, it will
           display:

Setup has recognized the following SCSI Adapters in your
           computer:

           OEM SCSI for DTC3X80 / DTC3X70 /DTC3X50

           Press "ENTER" to continue.

        11. NT will now display the components in the computer. After
making corrections if any, the user should continue the
remaining installation of the Windows NT.
