There are two possibilities how to install the Windows drivers:
1) Using the SPEA V7SETUP (quick installation, update)
2) Using the Windows SETUP program (standard installation)
1) Via the SPEA V7SETUP (Quick Installation, Updating an older
SPEA BigWin Driver)

Start Windows and choose at the Program Manager:
PROGRAM-RUN
and type B:\V7SETUP.
2) Via the Windows SETUP Program (Standard Installation)
--------------------------------------------------------
Exit Windows and start the program SETUP from the windows directory,
choose at DISPLAY "Others", insert the new disk in the corresponding
drive and press RETURN. Now follow the instructions given by the
Windows SETUP program.
Note: Updating any existing drivers via SPEA V7SETUP the icons SPEAview
===== and WinTune will be installed automatically if you kill the
SPEA/V7 group. Please refer the MicroSoft Windows documentation
about information how to integrate this program into the program
manager.
What's new:
V7SETUP adds new line in SYSTEM.INI under title [CAD1K.DRV],
BASEADDRESS=0, required for BigWin. Only if system has more
than 32 MB RAM, SYSTEM.INI should be edited and this value
be changed to 1.

1) During first installation the driver will be installed with the
lowest possible refresh rate at the chosen resolution.
If you use a high-class multi-sync monitor and you choose a
resolution 1024x768 and above, synchronisation problems may occur.
To prevent this, please choose at first the resolution
640x480. Afterwards you can change to the preferred resolution and
refresh rate with the utility V7SETUP, witch appears automatically
after starting Windows.
2) While installing the Windows drivers, you may be prompted for the
"V7-MIRAGE P-64 Driver for Windows disk" and the drive A:\ will be
displayed. When this happens, enter "B:\" if this diskette is in the
B: drive.
If "Problem with disk drive A:" message is displayed, and the
installation disk is in drive B:, press ESC twice, and re-enter "B:"
in the space provided.
The cause for these inquiries is a Microsoft WINDOWS routine.
3) Installing graphical drivers for Windows and Virus Check Programs
Virus check programs, such as the DOS 6.0 internal one, which search
for changes at *.exe and *.com files, detect changes at the file
win.com after installing the SPEA V7 BigWin driver. This is not a
virus, because while installing the driver, driver supplements will
be saved in this file.

║ SPEA V7 BigWin Driver : Known Limitations ║

1) The SPEA V7 BigWin Driver may not be used in 80286 based
systems.
2) VDD limitation: Cannot execute any VGA graphics modes in a
windowed mode. The XGA driver supplied by Microsoft has a similiar
limitation.
3) True Color:
If you use more than 15 icons in one program group, a message will
tell you that not all symbols are converted correctly. These symbols
will be displayed in black. This is caused by a Microsoft Program
Manager limitation.

WinTune is a utility used to change the display position and size
quickly and easily. The program is installed by V7SETUP and is
self-explanatory. You can use the online help available if you need
assistance with the program.
