MGA Millennium DOS CAD Drivers and Utilities, v1.02
                               June 16, 1995

This release contains the MGA DOS CAD Drivers and Utilities for the
MGA Millennium graphic controllers.

The following products are included:

   Utilities and Setup program
   AutoCAD DynaView Driver for Releases 11, 12, 13 and 3D Studio
   MicroStation 5.0 Driver

Windows 3.1 drivers and other Windows utilities are available through the MGA
PowerDesk disks.

Windows NT and OS/2 PM drivers are available separately.

Setup and Utilities:
-------------------

- Setup program v1.02
  Running the SETUP program to select a monitor is highly recommended,
  particularly if your monitor does not support all the resolutions that
  the board supports.
  Note that if you select a monitor through the new Windows Monitor
  Program included with PowerDesk, the selection is also valid for
  AutoCAD DOS driver, so the DOS Setup program does not need to be used.

- FNT8X14.COM
  The 8x14 font has been removed from the video bios as of revision 838-3.
  This was done, as per VESA recommendations, in order to make room for
  VESA Bios features such as VBE2.0 and VBE/DDC.
  Should the removal of this font cause problems with any application
  you are running, it can be installed by running the FNT8X14.COM TSR
  program. To do this, simply type c:\mga\setup\fnt8x14.


AutoCAD Driver v1.02:
--------------------

- AutoCAD R13 Support
  AutoCAD R13 is supported. Dynaview/3D also works with R13 with
  exception that it cannot render the newly introduced 3D solids.

- DynaView/3D
  DynaView/3D is supported on the MGA Millennium family.
  Keep in mind that 3D solids in R13 are not supported by Dynaview/3D.

- 3D Studio
  3D Studio 3 and 4 are supported.

- AutoCAD for Windows:
  The AutoCAD for Windows driver is available on the PowerDesk disks. It
  accelerates AutoCAD for Windows Rel 12 and 13 by directly utilizing 
  the MGA hardware, and comes with a Bird's Eye / Spy Glass viewer callable
  from the Autodesk DSVIEWER command.


- DynaView/3D for Windows:
  This application (like AutoCAD for Windows) is available on the PowerDesk
  disks. It allows real-time manipulation of 3D models created under 
  AutoCAD for Windows. Note that if the current windows mode,as selected via
  the MGA control panel, is not a 3D mode then DynaView/3D will be limited
  to wireframe.
  


MicroStation Driver v1.02:
--------------------------

- MicroStation 5.0 Only
  MicroStation driver supplied supports MicroStation 5.0 only.

- Feature Highlights
  Hardware assisted 3D rendering
  Window management (backing store)
  Dynamic Link Module (DLM)
  Easy to use configuration screen

- Multiple Configurations
  The driver also supports single screen (with or without swap screen), dual 
  screen and Windows Connection (single or dual screen).  
  Note that if you use the MicroStation Windows Connection with a dual-MGA
  configuration, the Windows Connection driver MUST run on the MGA board
  which has its VGA enabled.
