        This  directory  contains all the files needed  for setting up
        Microsoft Windows 3.1 in the 800x600 or the 1024x768  16 color
        modes or in the 640x480 or the 800x600 256 color mode.
        The files are:

          * o  WIN3-62B.DR_  - Windows 3.1 640x480 256 colors driver
                             - Windows 3.1 800x600 256 colors driver

          * o  WIN3-55B.DR_  - Windows 3.1 800x600  16 colors driver
                             - Windows 3.1 1024x768 16 colors driver

          * o  W31VGA.VD_    - Virtual display driver for Windows 3.1 386

            o  OEMSETUP.INF  - Windows 3.1 setup file

            o  OEM.INF       - Additional text file for INSTALL.EXE

            o  README.W31    - This file.

          - Files marked with * are in compressed form.
            The INSTALL program decompresses them.
            The Windows character mode SETUP program also automatically
            decompresses these files.

        When you have run the ICL HRA Utilities and Drivers Diskette
        installation  program, INSTALL.EXE,  you have these four display
        modes available in the graphics mode Windows Setup program.


        To change display resolution in Windows 3.1:

        o Start Windows 3.1

        o Double click on Windows Setup icon. The Windows
          Setup menu is displayed.

        o Select Options from the menu bar.

        o Select Change System Settings... from the pull down menu

        o Click on Display list box

        o Select the resolution you want to use:

             ICL HRA 1024x768 16 color driver
             ICL HRA 640x480 256 color driver
             ICL HRA 800x600 256 color driver
             ICL HRA 800x600 16 color driver

          - All these drivers are available with two font sizes.

        o Click on OK

        o Click Current when asked for Current or New drivers.


        If these choices are not shown in the display list box,
        run the  ICL HRA Utilities and Drivers Diskette installation
        program  and,  when asked, let the  program copy Windows 3.1
        drivers  and  make the  changes to  SETUP.INF. Then, restart
        Windows and repeat the above procedure.

        You can alternatively use the character  mode  Windows SETUP
        utility. Type the command SETUP from your Windows  directory
        and follow the instructions given by the program.
