        This directory  contains all the files needed for setting up Lotus
        123 with 132 columns. The files are:

             o  LOTUS23B.DRV -   132x25 - Device Driver for Color mode
             o  LOTUS33B.DRV -   132x44 - Device Driver for Color mode
             o  LOTUS37B.DRV -   132x44 - Device Driver for Monochrome
                                 mode
             o  README.LOT -     This file.

        These   drivers  are  compatible  with Lotus 1-2-3  version  2.0,
        2.01  &  2.2  and Symphony version 1.1.  They   allow  132-column
        spreadsheets.

        The setup procedure is as follows:

        A. SYSTEM WITH HARD DISK:

           1. Install Lotus 1-2-3 as described in the Lotus manual.

           2. Do  not  delete SINGLE.LBR if you have a version  of  1-2-3
              higher than 2.0 or a  version of  Symphony higher than 1.1.
              Otherwise, delete  SINGLE.LBR from  your Lotus directory.
              For example:  del single.lbr <enter>.

           3. Copy the three device drivers to your Lotus directory.
              For example:

                C>COPY A:\LOTUS\*.DRV

           4. Run the Lotus Install program. Select ADVANCED OPTIONS.
              Lotus presents a list of choices.

           5. Choose ADD NEW DRIVER TO LIBRARY.  Lotus returns you to the
              Advanced Options menu.

           6. Continue with section C - Configuring Lotus 1-2-3.

        B. SYSTEM WITH TWO FLOPPY DISKS ONLY

           1. Copy the Lotus drivers from the Utilities & Drivers diskette
              to the new formatted disk.
              For example:

                    A>COPY B:\LOTUS\*.DRV

              where drive A contains the new formatted disk.

           2. For Lotus 1-2-3 version 2.01, rename the file SINGLE.LBR on
              the Install Library disk to SINGLE.BAK.

           3. Place the Utility disk in drive A, type INSTALL,
              + press <enter>.

           4. Place the Install Library disk in drive A and press <enter>.

           5. Place the System disk in drive A and press <enter>.

           6. Select ADVANCED OPTIONS. Lotus presents a list of choices.

           7. Select ADD NEW DRIVERS TO LIBRARY.

           8. Insert  the  new disk created in drive  A  and
              press <enter>.

           9. - For Lotus 1-2-3 version 2.01, insert the Install  Library
                disk in drive A and press <enter>.
              - For  Lotus 1-2-3 version 2.0, insert the Utility disk  in
                drive A and press <enter>.

          10. Continue with section C - Configuring Lotus 1-2-3.

        C. CONFIGURING LOTUS 1-2-3

           1. Select  MODIFY  CURRENT DRIVER  SET. The Install program 
              displays a list  of driver types.

           2. Select TEXT DISPLAY. The program displays a list of text
              drivers.

           3. Select one of the following drivers:

                    - LOTUS23B.DRV 132X25 Color Mode Driver
                    - LOTUS33B.DRV 132x44 Color Mode Driver
                    - LOTUS37B.DRV 132x44 Mono Mode Driver

           4. Select  GRAPH DISPLAY. The Install program displays a list
              of  graphic drivers.

           5. Select one of the following graphics drivers:

                    - Hercules (80x25) only if the 132x44 mono driver was
                      chosen in step 3.
                    - IBM Enhanced Graphics
                    - IBM Video Graphics Array

           6. Select  RETURN TO MENU. The program returns to the Advanced
              Options menu.

           7. Select SAVE CHANGES and follow the instructions given on the
              screen.

           8. Exit the Lotus Install program.

        For a printout of this information, type

                   A>COPY README.LOT PRN <enter>
