GENOA WindowsVGA (8000 Series) Online Document
	 Driver Installation for Microsoft WINDOWS 3.0/3.1

The following instructions are applicable to users of Microsoft Windows 
Ver. 3.0/3.1 using GENOA's WindowsVGA (8000 series) boards. Please note,
to use 800x600 and higher resolution modes, a multisync ANALOG monitor 
capable of synchronizing with these modes is required.

The "GENOA WindowsVGA Utility Program" contains high-resolution Windows
drivers, as well as an INSTALL.EXE, which will help you to install the
drivers.  Follow the instructions listed below carefully to install the
drivers.

Instructions:

1. Install Windows 3.0/3.1 according to the setup procedures.
   Run a Windows application program.  Make sure Windows installed correctly.

2. Exit to DOS and put the "GENOA WindowsVGA Utility Programs" into
   floppy drive A. And then change directory to "a:\WIN3X".

3. Run "INSTALL.EXE" and follow program instructions.

4. Under Windows 3.0/3.1 driectory, run "SETUP.EXE" again.

5. Scroll through the display options until you find the Genoa WindowsVGA
   display options listed below,

   GENOA WVGA -  640x480, 256 colors
   GENOA WVGA -  640x480, 256 colors, turbo
   GENOA WVGA -  640x480, 32K colors
   GENOA WVGA -  800x600, 16/256 colors
   GENOA WVGA -  800x600, 16/256 colors, turbo
   GENOA WVGA - 1024x768, 16/256 colors
   GENOA WVGA - 1024x768, 16/256 colors, turbo
   GENOA WVGA - 1280x960, 16 colors

   Select an appropriate display resolution.
   'turbo' means the driver has been fine tuned for speed improvement.

6. Restart Windows.


Notes:

1. To run 1280x960x16, make sure you have a 70Hz monitor and switches 5,6,
   and 7 are set to off.

2. The drivers support the following:

    800x600 x 16/256            GWV800.DRV
    800x600 x 16/256           GWV800T.DRV

   1024x768 x 16/256            GWV1KT.DRV
   1280x960 x 16               GWV1280.DRV

   The 640x480x32K resolution is only for Genoa WindowsVGA 8860 boards.

3. If you wish to change the Monitor type, after completing the installation,
   click on the Windows Setup icon found in the Main desktop window or rerun
   SETUP.EXE found in your WINDOWS directory.
