INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR OS/2 2.0 32-Bit 256 COLORS BLITTER DRIVER
                   AND 16 COLORS NON-BLITTER DRIVER
                   FOR CIRRUS LOGIC'S GD542X CHIPS

Installing the 256 colors blitter driver:
-----------------------------------------
1. Edit OS/2's config.sys file with the following settings

   set video_devices=vio_SVGA
   set vio_SVGA=device(bvhvga,BVHSVGA)
   device=%1:\os2\mdos\VSVGA.SYS

2. Bring up a DOS full screen session, run Clmode utility to set monitor type,
   then insert Cirrus Logic's driver diskette in drive A or B, 
   type A:SVGA.EXE ON or B:SVGA.EXE ON to create a svgadata.pmi file

3. Shutdown the system to boot up from the OS/2 2.0 Installation
   Diskette, then ESC out of Diskette One to run cli25620.cmd


Installing the 16 colors non-blitter driver:
--------------------------------------------
1. Edit OS/2's config.sys file with the following settings.

   add %1:\OS2\DLL\CLDSP; to the immediate right of LIBPATH=
   set video_devices=vio_SVGA
   set vio_SVGA=device(bvhvga,BVHSVGA)
   device=%1:\os2\mdos\VSVGA.SYS

2. Bring up a DOS full screen session, run Clmode utility to set monitor type,
   then insert Cirrus Logic's driver diskette in drive A or B, 
   type A:SVGA.EXE ON or B:SVGA.EXE ON to create a svgadata.pmi file.

3. shutdown the system to boot up from the OS/2 2.0 Installation
   Diskette, then ESC out of Diskette One to run cli1620.cmd.
