KNOWN BUGS IN THIS VERSION v3.04 #100.005.001 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As with most software, there are always some bugs, even after offical release. Just look as Microsoft. :) Below is a list of the known bugs: 1) The Node Idle Status will be inaccurate if one person was the last caller on more than one node. I only put this in as an extra feature. If you only run a one node system, this will work perfectly fine. However, the way that PCBoard records the last caller to each node, it doesn't record the date the last caller logged on, but only the time. 2) This program is a "Memory Hog". I kind of laugh at this, but this program runs better on my older systems than my new Pentium III system. It uses a lot of memory and PCBoard doesn't release some of it properly during program execution. Especially when viewing the Caller Log many times. I'll work harder in the next release to optimize the memory usage as best as I can. 3) I started to add support for 24+ line displays, but as I do not see it as a Major function of the program, I'm releasing v3.04 #100.005.01 as is. Use this program at 24+ lines at your own risk. All it will do to you is give you a headache tring to read the screen. :) This will be fixed in the next release... 4) I don't know if you can really call this a bug or not. But I have noticed as I upgraded my computer throughout the years of working on this program, that the Beep On User Logon began to stop working on the newer computers. If you run off a 386 or 486 you shouldn't have any problems with this option. However, when I upgraded to a Pentium II, I had to do a little reprogramming of the code to get this option to work. On my AMD K6-II 380Mhz Notebook I have found the Beep to not work at all. Now I have a Pentium III 500 MHz computer I just built and now the beep works again. Go figure.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No other known bugs at this time. If you find one, let me know. -- alzirr@nexusbbs.com
