Logon Bulletin Displayer Version 2.00 Copyright (c) 1994, Integrated Computer Services All Rights Reserved. Introduction: Welcome to Logon Bulletin Displayer (LBD). LBD is a PPE program written with Clark Development Company's PPE Compiler v2.00. Logon Bulletin Displayer REQUIRES PCBoard version 15.1 to work! The purpose of LBD is to allow users when logging on to view, download and search bulletins. It is very easy to use and setup. Bulletins are allowed to be security specific, graphic specific, and language specific. It uses the same guidelines used in PCBoard. The bulletins, on an individual basis, be downloaded by the user, if the sysop allows. Plus, the search routine is the same as in PCBoard's Zippy search. Thank you for trying Logon Bulletin Displayer! If you have any questions, please by all means, contact us! Thanks again! Features: - Display up to 50 bulletins - Security, Graphic, and Language specific files - Bulletins downloadable (sysop definable) - Search ability (as in PCBoard) - Bulletins may use PCBoard macros and color codes - LBD can be used anywhere a PPE can be used in PCBoard - Easy to configure & use - Writes to caller log file - Customizable menu - No specific filenames for menu or bulletin (Customizable) Installation: Installation is very simple. LBD can be placed almost anywhere in PCBoard. We suggest you put it in one of the following places: (1) logon security files, or (2) PCBtext prompt #665. See your PCBoard manual about logon security files, PCBtext prompts, and how to install a PPE into them. There is a configuration file that needs to be edited. The filename is LBD.CFG. This MUST reside in the same directory as LBD.PPE. The layout is a plain ASCII file and is setup in this fashion: Line 1: Number of bulletins Line 2: Path & Filename of Bulletin Menu Line 3: Path & Filename of bulletin #1 Line 4: Downloadable (Y for Yes, N for No) Line 5 and so on, Line 3 & 4 repeated respectively That is it! Nothing more to that! The key file, LBD.KEY, is setup with this format: Line 1: SysOp Name Line 2: BBS Name Line 3: Registration Number When you register, you will be able to download a KEY file setup for you already. That is it about configuring this PPE. Remember, the bulletin and menu files MAY contain PCBoard macros and color codes.
