The UFS.PPE is a replacement to the PCBoard's F command. It is using a special
technique for listing file description, flagging and viewing files.

UFS was tested for more than a year on the largest BBSes in Israel, with
DESQview, DOS, OS/2, PCBoard 15.2 up to 15.21 and over 4000 users.

We, at the Israeli PCBoard Center are proud to deliver this fine product
and hope you will find it useful.

Features:
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

þ Supports a fully configurable windowed dirs selection screen.
þ Supports arrow keys for moving up and down in the dirs selection screen.
þ Supports multiple pages in area listings.
þ Supports up to 400 areas per conference.
þ Supports next & previous page option in case there are too many dirs per
  screen.
þ Supports a graphics light-bar with percentage of the files that are
  scanned in each area.
þ Supports flagging files with arrow keys (up & down).
þ Shows number of bytes left for download before and after every file flagged.
þ Supports viewing text & files and/or archived files.
þ Supports moving to next area in the same conference, once the listing of
  the current area has ended.
þ Supports scrolling one line up and down in the files listings.
þ Command line is always active at the bottom and shows the available
  options for the user.
þ Supports full color configuration in CFG file.
þ The user is being warn if his calculated time after flagging a file is less
  then 5 minutes.

 
Installation:
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

The UFS.PPE does not require any special installation. All you have to do is
Install the PPE at the CMD file.  The UFS colors can be configured in the
UFS.CFG file, using a text editor, such as PCBEDIT.

The UFS can get a conference number from the command line and work at the
desired conference WITHOUT joining the conference. For example if you wish
that the user will ALWAYS see the dirs in conference 0 no matter on what
conference he is at the moment, then activate the UFS.PPE as: "UFS;0".

NOTE: If you rename UFS.PPE, you should rename UFS.CFG as well to the same as
the PPE but with the ".CFG" extension.


Shareware:
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

UFS.PPE is distributed as Shareware.  You are free to share it with your
friends or upload it to bulletin boards or information services, providing
the entire compressed file is uploaded without modification. UFS.PPE is not
allowed to be used in a commercial or business environment.


Registration:
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

The shareware version of UFS.PPE is limited to 15 directories and will stop
working in 01-Jul-1995. If you wish to get a registered version of UFS.PPE
please read the file REGISTER.FRM. The registered version of the UFS.PPE has
UNLIMITED directories and conferences listing. Registration terms can be
found in the file REGISTER.FRM
