VAULT.PPE is a very powerful and extremely configurable, yet simple to install and maintain, time and byte bank. It allows callers to save their unused time and bytes, exchange time for bytes and bytes for time, as well as gamble time or bytes. Installation? You must have unzipped the ZIP file if you're reading this DOC file, so we'll assume that you've already made a directory for VAULT.PPE and unzipped the the following files: VAULT.PPE The executable program VAULT.DOC This text document VAULT.CFG A sample configuration file FILE_ID.DIZ File upload description Next, you will need to edit the VAULT.CFG file to your liking. An explanation of each line follows: line 1: Foreground color (one char) (RANDOM if you want this randomized) line 2: Background color (one char) (RANDOM if you want this randomized) line 3: Highlight color (one char) (Randomized when background is RANDOM) line 4: Max Bytes Withdraw Per Day, I use 1000000 line 5: Byte Exchange, I use 100000. Divide AMMOUNT by this to get minutes for a byte exchange. line 6: Max Time Withdraw Per Day, I use 30 line 7: Time Exchange, I use 10000. Multiply AMMOUNT by this to get bytes for a time exchange. line 8: Percent chance to win a byte gamble line 9: Percent chance to win a time gamble line 10: Maximum bytes allowed in account (not to exceed 9999999999999999) line 11: Maximum minutes in account (not to exceed 9999999999999999) *NOTE: It is important that you follow the above structure or the PPE will not work properly. Also, this file MUST be named VAULT.CFG and must be in the same directory as VAULT.PPE. Next, add the following line to your CMD.LST file inside PCBSetup: COMMAND SECURITY PATH & FILENAME ---------------------------------------------------------- BANK 20 C:\PCB\PPE\VAULT\VAULT.PPE *NOTE: Your CMD.LST may vary. I am offering my configuration just as an example. Next, Ensure that the USER NOTES PSA is installed in your USER INFO FILE in the PCBoard System Manager. USER NOTES has 5 indexes and all 5 are used by VAULT.PPE. They may be edited by the sysop at any time. The indexes are explained below: U_NOTES(0): Bytes in vault U_NOTES(1): Bytes withdrawn today U_NOTES(2): Minutes in vault U_NOTES(3): Minutes withdrawn today U_NOTES(4): Date of Last Withdraw That's all.
