UserCsv 2.2 By Jay Parekh A Touch Of Class On-Line (312) 326 - 0023 [BBS] History: 2.2 Will check if lines 1 & 2 exists. Added more security. Added Expiration date as last output. Enabled the registration (FREE) 2.1 Will check to see if UserCsv.Cfg exists and will log to callers log. 2.0 Revised/Written by Jay Parekh 1.0 written by Steve Mills and Patrick McCloskey: MidWest Information Systems (708) 513 - 1034 (10 Nodes) 2.1 Install: I couldn't make it any easier than this. Create a file called USERCSV.CFG or use the sample included. On the first line, enter the eight letter registration code. This code is FREE, just call my BBS at 312-326-0023 and type GETCODE. On the second line, type in the path and the name of the file to be created. Example: FILE: USERCSV.CFG LINE1: 00000000 LINE2: C:\DBASE\PCBUSER.CSV All other lines will be ignored. ---- In the PCBs NEWUSER file, add a line to call USERCSV.PPE Example: FILE: NEWUSER ANYLINE: PPEPATH\USERCSV.PPE ---- Make sure the user has completed the registration or you will get empty fields. What's in the file: FULL NAME, STREET_1, STREET_2, CITY, STATE, ZIP_CODE, HOME_PHONE, DATA_PHONE, PASSWORD, EXPIRATION DATE ---- How to Import: Many Databases (Approach, Dbase, AlphaFive) and Word Processors (WordPerfect) have an import feature. You can map the database fields to match what you want imported from the usercsv created file. This is very simple and useful. If you keep a seperate database for you users this will save you alot of work. ---- Thanks: Steve Mills & Patrick McCloskey @ MidWest BBS. Call their BBS @ 708-513-1034.
