Sandman, Lord Xeen and Low Spirit released a whole lot of PPEs that found their fans not only in Germany, but all around the world. Some of them are still original, others have been copied by other groups (I am talking about the concept of them... don't want to blame anybody for ripping us). In January 1996, the last PPE for a very long time was released. Our PPE coders became inactive. Funnily, the last 95/96 PPE to be released by UE was UE-00062.ZIP. It was about the time I joined Underground Empire, and my first release was UE-00063.ZIP. ;) In Feburary 1997 I started to create PPEs for my own new board (The Badlands) that went online in October '97 and made it to one of the german scene's last ressorts. With a little help from different people I started the comeback of Underground Empire in the PPE business. By the way, the other PPE coders at UE at that time all basically seemed to idle around except for Ace ArUU who has quit UE in the meanwhile, though. Of course, my first PPE had to have a fatal bug and was useless crap but I guess that's the way it goes... the updated version, however, works perfectly. Unless you're running the PPE from its own directory, it couldn't find its executable file D.EXE that came with it. Due to some weird problem with my filesystem I lost the source code of this PPE and there seems to be no way to decompile it to some code that can be recompiled. So you're stuck with a workaround instead of a update. Big sorry for that. The solution: D.EXE needs to be in some directory where your system's PATH is pointing to. Simply move this file to your DOS- or batch file-directory; it's a really great replacement for the odd DOS command DIR anyways so use it and be happy. I didn't notice this since i use D.EXE as my DIR-command and have it in my PATH and three beta testers obvisouly ran the PPE only from its own directory or used another DIR-replacement which made the output look different but didn't really make them notice something was wrong. Hey take it easy, this is one of the few releases with deadly mistakes in them we missed yet! The number of perfectly working releases is approx. 50-100 times higher ;) 4 - LOST RELEASES OF UNDERGROUND EMPIRE -컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴� A problem most groups older than six months face: files keep on disappearing and some older releases have completely vanished from any disks that we could get hold of.
