OPENWIDE.PPE "OPENDOOR.PPE wide version with door/ppe descriptions" Copyright 1994 by Robert Brower. Total Access BBS (905)270-3972 Voice Support: (905)819-9172 6pm-9pm 7days What is it? OPENWIDE.PPE is a PCBoard 15.1 PPE utility that will replace your old, and now obsolete OPEN or DOOR commands. It is a beautifully designed ANSI imple- mentation of the classic menu bar user interface. This is the 'WIDE' version which has support for up to 26 doors or PPE's. It also has description sup- port. Callers use their CURSOR movement keys (ARROW keys) to move the highlighted selection, pressing enter to launch the application. File in archive? You should have received the following files in this archive: OPENWIDE.PPE The executable PPE OPENWIDE.DOC This file you are reading now MAIN.CFG A sample configuration file FILE_ID.DIZ PCBoard @ code DIZ file. Installation: You can install this PPE independantly of your commands or you can replace your 'OPEN' or 'DOOR' commands by editing your CMD.LST file for the par- ticular conferences that you want to run it from. The following is a sample entry in a hypothetical CMD.LST file: OPEN 50 C:\PCB\PPE\WIDE\OPENWIDE.PPE MAIN.CFG *Notice MAIN.CFG. This is the configuration file which you wish to use for this CMD.LST file or the conferences that access it. You can name the con- figuration files any name. I chose MAIN.CFG because it is used for my main board conference. My online games conference uses GAMES.CFG. It's up to you. The configuration files *MUST* be included on this CMD.LST line. They must also be present in the same directory as the PPE file. Configuration file parameters: LINE 1: FOREGROUND COLOR PCB @ CODE (ONE CHAR) LINE 2: BACKGROUND COLOR PCB @ CODE (ONE CHAR) LINE 3: HIGHLIGHT COLOR PCB @ CODE (ONE CHAR) LINE 4: MENUBAR COLOR PCB @ CODE (ONE CHAR) LINE 5: Name of DOOR or PPE (8 chars or less) LINE 6: Description of DOOR or PPE (23 chars or less) LINE 7: Name of DOOR or PPE (8 chars or less) LINE 8: Description of DOOR or PPE (23 chars or less) LINE 9: ... ETC. LINE 10: ... ETC. Because PCBoard has reserved the UP cursor key for scrollback, sysops using OPENWIDE.PPE locally can use the alternate UP key, the HOME key.
