This PPE is intended for use with PCBoard version 15.1 and above. It has been tested with no problems on my BBS, and I don;t claim that it will work on any other BBS, but it should :) Using this PPE is your choice, loss or damage falls in your lap. Ok, now that that is out of the way, lets get to the program. It is very simple, and is something that I have been meaning to do on my BBS for sometime. This PPE can make you a little bit of money if used right. I charge for putting someones Ad in the database, and they know that most callers will see it on each call. The Ad is chosin at random, and then displayed everytime the menu prompt appears. You will need to replace the menu prompt #396 in your PCBTEXT file with this PPE. If you are not familiar with editing your PCBTEXT file, please consult your manual. You will need to add this line, it will vary depending on where you put the PPE: !c:\pcb\ppl\adprompt.ppe Thats it, and it will run everytime. You need two more files that will have to be in the same directory as the PPE. AD.CFG and AD.TXT. AD.CFG only has one thing in it, the MAX number of ads in your database. If you don't put the max then those at the end of the database will never be displayed. AD.TXT is the database of ads. Each ad can have upto 65 characters including spaces, before it line wraps. If you don't mind that, then use as many as you would like. You may also use PCB @X colors for the display. There is an example of each of these files included. Here is an example of what will show to your callers. Sponsored By: Network Management Systems, 801-280-0099, Computer Consultants (120 min. left) Main Board Command?
