APz Time/byte bank v1.06. ------------------------- Fed up with timebanks that use PCB's PSAs (like caller notes) to store it's data? Fed up with timebanks that create a mile long ascii-file slowing the program down by x^5%? Well, you've found timebank that does not suffer these problems. This time/byte bank is TPA based. In english, It'll store all data in USERS.INF, without messing up any PSAs and it's FAST. Legal things first. I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE IN ANY WAY IF THIS PROGRAM CAUSES UNWANTED OR UNEXPECTED RESULTS. YOU USE THIS PROGRAM COMPLETELY ON YOUR OWN RISK. Ok, let's look at the installation procedure. 1) Create a directory for timebank. If you're afraid of backdoors, please, read the source for peace of your mind :) In the examples, we'll assume that the directory you created is c:\pcb\timebank. 2) Shut down all nodes of PCBoard. Without doing this, you are not able to add TPA to users-file. It might be a good idea to back up userfiles for just in case :) 3) Go to PCBSM, Select "User info file maintenance" at the mainmenu and "Add/update third party application" at the second menu. Type in following values when asked: TPA: APZBANK Ver: 10 Static: 20 Dynamic: 0 Key: APZBANK 3) Add command to CMD.LST to run TIMEBANK.PPE Charges Per PPE/MNU File Specification -or- Command Sec Minute Use Keystroke Substitution ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ ÍÍÍÍ ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ 1) TIMEBANK 0 0 0 C:\PCB\TIMEBANK\TIMEBANK.PPE 4) Start PCBoard and use the command you defined to start timebank. 5) TimeBank starts up. You may use (C)onfigure option to change maximum time / kilo amount in bank. 6) You're done. Next, we'll take a look at SysOp functions. When user (who don't have SysOp security) enters timebank, following options are available: "Make your selection, (T)ime, (K)ilos, (Q)uit" On SysOp-mode, the prompt will look like this: "Make your selection, (T)ime, (K)ilos, (C)onfigure, (M)odify, (Q)uit" With (C)onfigure-option you can change maximum amounts of time and kilos stored in bank. (M)odify option is for modifying other users time and kilo savings. When you select this option, you'll be asked for name of the user. Note that you can add more time / kilos with this option than you have specified in (C)onfigure option. Uninstalling Timebank. 1) Shut down all nodes of PCBoard. 2) Go to PCBSM, Select "User info file maintenance" at the mainmenu and "Remove TPA from user info file" at the second menu. Type in APZBANK in "Name of tpa to remove"-field. 3) Remove timebank-directory. 4) Remove timebank-command from CMD.LST 5) Done. This program is distributed as public domain.
