AREUSURE.PPE - Helps prevents posting messages in incorrect conferences Copyright (C) 1994, 1995 by Joe Eversole NEW FEATURES IN VERSION 3.00 ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß In this latest release, I have completed work on tokens. This allows you to specify the user's name on the command line: (9998 min. left) Teens-RIME (101) Conference Command? e;billy bob In Straight PCBoard, That would automatically place BILLY BOB in the prompt for who the message is to. When you added this PPE to your system, it took that feature away. With the new version, if you stack a username into the E command, the program assumes that you really want to post in this conference, so it skips it's interrogation. =) The other change is a slight color modification after suggestion. One last minor modification: I added 1995 to the copyright notice. =) NEW FEATURES IN VERSION 2.10 ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß There really are no new features or bug-fixes in Version 2.10. Version 2.10 is compiled in the released version of PPLC that came along with the release of PCBoard 15.2. (AREUSURE 2.00 was compiled in a beta PPLC) The delay in this release is the fact that our download access expired, and it took us a while to get the Purchase Order. NEW FEATURES IN VERSION 2.00 ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß I bet you're asking yourself "What has Joe done THIS time?" Well, when I upgraded to PCBoard 15.2, I noticed that if the conference name was over so many characters (I didn't bother to count them), the program would automatically stuff a return into the buffer, which basically ment the software didn't work. I delayed the release of that bug fix for 2 reasons 1) Let CDC release a really good PPLC. (One of them was broken and caused major problems) 2) To add some new features This also adds the ability for the user to abandon the conference while inside the PPE. It also now requires a Y/N response. There is one little "snafu" about this is that the PPE doesn't look for a Y or a N, it looks for the Yes or No characters, which are defined in PCBSetup under languages. You can change it so Spanish is S and N, French is O and N, etc. You can make it any character you want. If the user doesn't enter anything, the program says to enter a (Y)es or (N)o response, which may not work depending on the language and configuration. If you want to provide me with a translation, I'll change the wording and send you a copy, no charge. I am thinking about releasing my code to get big laughs from everyone and also so you can change it to your needs.
