PARANOiA LOGiN SYSTEM - V1.51 Coded, Produced And Documentation By Raiden [PARANOiA] ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ( iNTRODUCTiON )ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Heya Folks .... Congratulations On Choosing Our Dope Style Login PPE For PCBoard. Let's Get Directly Over To Da Main Features: þ 99.9% Configurable (One Could Also Call it A "Monster-CFG-File" =)) þ Multiple Welcome Screens þ New User Password And System Password ... THE LAMER TRAP (tm) þ User Blacklisting þ Fast Login Feature (Depends On Security Level) þ User Questionnaire With ANSi * Style (First introduced By BlackCat's Login Matrix ... Nice, Dude!) þ Local Sysop Window þ Kewl Ansi GFX And Nice Design So Just Check it Out And We Will See What You Think Of it ... ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ( iNSTALLATiON )ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ The installation is quite simple (Yes, I know everyone's saying this). after having unzipped the archive (make sure to use the -d option to also create the subdirectories !!!) into an OWN directory (e.g. C:\PCB\PPL\PNALOGiN) simply run the INSTALL.BAT batch-file which will integrate the login system into your PCBTEXT file. The correct syntax for the installation-batch is as follows: iNSTALL [PATH + NAME OF PCBTEXT] [PATH OF PARANOiA-LOGiN] Example: iNSTALL C:\PCB\GEN\PCBTEXT C:\PCB\PPL\PNALOGiN ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ( CONFiGURATiON )ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ All right ... Now you have the login installed ... Let's get over to the configuration ... The archive contains an example config-file with which you are able to use the login without having to change thousands of variables and parameters =) There's only one line which can be different from your system ... Take a look at line 18 where you have to put the path and filename of your LOGREG file (PCB's Standard Login Script File). You can change the position and name of your Login Script File within PCBSetup ... All other options are not system-specific and so you can have a first try with the new login system right NOW ... For a description of all available settings just take a look at the end of the PNALOGiN.CFG file where the function of each line is explained ... After the first run you may want to change the grafx as they might contain some logos of our WHQ (It doesn't look good if you have the name of another board in big letters in your login ... TRUST ME !). So just grab THEDRAW or any other ANSi/PCB editor and change the following files: WELCOME\WELCOME.??? þ THE RANDOMLY DiSPLAYED WELCOME FiLES Just put all your welcome files in the subdirectory "WELCOME" and number the extensions from 1 to whatever. e.g. WELCOME.1, WELCOME.2 ... WELCOME.xxx Also make sure to adjust the total number of welcome screens in the PNALOGiN.CFG file (Line 7) GFX\LOGMAiN.PCB þ THE MAiN LOGiN SCREEN This is the screen where you enter your handle and password (if user recognized). If you change the coordinates of the enter handle/password/info prompts you'll also have to change the appropriate lines in PNALOGiN.CFG GFX\APLYMAiN.PCB þ THE MAiN APPLiCATiON SCREEN This screens contains the basic appli- cation questions for new users like password, numbaz, user note, etc. If you change the coordinates ... you know whadda do, don't you ... =) GFX\iNFOFORM.ANS þ THE NEW-USER QUESTiONNAiRE This is somethin' special. Every new user has to give some extended information about him-/herself. This makes it easier for the sysop to adjust his/her security level. The infoform routine uses the ansi * style, so you don't have to change all coordinates of your questions. Just draw your questionnaire and if you have finished switch to animation mode (IMPORTANT!) and put an asterisk (*) at all places where you want to get infor- mation from the user (after each question). Easy, huh?! :)) GFX\NUP.PCB þ THE NEW-USER-PASSWORD SCREEN If you have protected your board with a new user password for new users :)) then this screen will be shown and the new user has to enter the nup within 3 tries otherwise ... Make sure to adjust coordinates in PNALOGiN.CFG GFX\BLACKLST.PCB þ USER BLACKLiSTiNG This file contains a list of unwanted user at your system. For instance you should leave the words "GUEST" and "GAST" in this list to avoid users logging on as guest ... GFX\NUINFO.PCB þ NEW USER iNFO SCREEN This file is shown to every new user after completing the questionnaires. ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ( THE FAST LOGON FEATURE )ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Another special feature of Paranoia's Login is the possibility to skip the login script (with all your favourite, great ppes which are shown at login) if the user has a greater or equal security level than specified (Line 17 in PNALOGiN.CFG). For this reason you have to put all your startup-ppes in a file called fastlog.cfg which has to be in your paranoia-login directory (an example file is included!). ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ( LAST WERDZ )ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ We hope that you like our login system and use it in your board.
