Matrix.ppe Copyright (C) 1995 by Mukunda Modell Matrix.ppe is a logon matrix PPE for PCBoard 15.21 or newer, it also includes a few interesting features I have never seen in any other Logon Matrix PPE's! Features: * Fully Configurable * Multiple Welcome screens * Allows you to define the X/Y position for prompts (First, Last, Password). * Scrolling Text Window, allows you to have up to 150 characters displayed in a scrolling window while user enters their Name/Password. Installation: Step 1: Modify PCBTEXT records 148, 259, and 260 using MKPCBTXT.EXE to look something like this: 148: !C:\PCB\PPE\MATRIX\PASSWORD.PPE 259: !C:\PCB\PPE\MATRIX\FIRST.PPE 260: !C:\PCB\PPE\MATRIX\LAST.PPE Step 2: Copy your welcome screen file to WELCOME1, then copy the included WELCOME file over your old welcome screen. Now edit the WELCOME file. This file should contain only one line, this line should look something like this: !C:\PCB\PPE\MATRIX\WELCOME.PPE (Modify the path to match your system) Step 3: Modify MATRIX.CFG, instructions are included in the file. After you finish modifying MATRIX.CFG, copy it to MATRIX1.CFG to be used with WELCOME1 Step 4: Modify GEN.CFG, this file should contain one line, witch is the path to your PCBoard GEN directory (The directory with the WELCOME file) Step 5: Modify MATRIX.KEY to reflect your system (Instructions included in the file) Step 6: If you want to use multiple welcome files, simply create WELCOME2, WELCOME3, etc. Each welcome file requires it's own MATRIX.CFG, so copy MATRIX.CFG to MATRIX1.CFG for welcome1, MATRIX2.CFG for welcome2, etc. (Also don't forget to modify each MATRIX.CFG to match the welcome screen). You will also need to edit WELCOME.CFG, all that this file contains is the number of WELCOME screens you are going to use. Step 7: Log on locally (As a user - User Busy from the Call waiting screen) Evaluate Matrix.PPE until you decide weather you like it (No longer then 30 days), then either Register it or remove it (Copy WELCOME1 to WELCOME in your GEN directory, then delete the files in the MATRIX directory) Read REGISTER.DOC for registration information!
