Program: LOGOFF.PPE v1.00 Compiled on 01-16-94 UPDATE: v1.10 Written by: Richard Stewart Description: LOGOFF.PPE -- A PPE (PCBoard Programming Executable) to penalize users who allow a keyboard timeout to log them off. If PCBoard is notified of a keyboard timeout, this PPE will penalize the user by deducting 30 minutes from their available time for that day, issue a message to them about it, and write one line to the CALLER LOG file. Users of level XXX,(defined in LOGOFF.CFG file) or higher are NOT penalized, but their inactivity is written to the CALLER LOG file. Also, will leave a message, to users below specified security level in LOGOFF.CFG. So that the next time they log on, they will see the prompt mail waiting... (You can put anything you want into the LOGOFF.TXT file to meet your needs). An example has been provided for you. Installation: This program is called by replacing a line in your PCBTEXT file with a call to the PPE program by using the ! parameter. Use MKPCBTXT.EXE to edit your PCBTEXT file. Press F3 and enter 55. You will see the "Keyboard Time Expired!" record. Change it like this: From: Keyboard Time Expired! To: !D:\PCB\PPE\LOGOFF.PPE Change to reflect your own path. Verify your selected time out limit by running PCBSETUP, then going to the (G-Configuration Options/F-Limits) page. The first option on the screen is the number of minutes the caller may remain inactive before invoking your line 55 from PCBTEXT.. Note: I will be more than happy to modify this program in anyway to meet your needs. Refer to Support on how to contact me. Registration: I am releasing this program as shareware.
