Introduction | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ This PPE will allow you to do Blind Uploads the CORRECT way. What do I mean by "correct"? If you take a look at some of the blind upload ppe's out there (and there are a LOT of them), you'll notice that just about all of them replace your "U" and "UB" commands. This is nice and all, but have you ever noticed what happens if you have files flagged for download and then try to upload via the blind uploader ppe? That's right -- the text and prompts which follow get all screwed up. This is because the blind upload ppe is keyboard stuffing a "U" or "UB" to the question of "Do you want to continue your upload anyway?". Obviously, this method doesn't work! Hence, Enhanced Quick Uploader not only replaces your "U" and "UB" commands, it also replaces prompts 68 and 729 ("Enter the Filename to Upload (Enter)=none"). This still allows the system to ask if you wish to continue your upload if you have files flagged for download without screwing up. Other features: - Neeto-mosquito Yes/No lightbars - Prompts user if upload is private for the sysop (*) - Prompts user for a quick description which is sent to the sysop (*) - Source code included (*) As in the PPE "Just Do It" Requirements: - PCBoard 15.2 +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 2. Installation | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Run INSTALL.BAT or you can manually edit your PCBTEXT and have prompts 68 and 729 point to this ppe. Then add U.PPE and UB.PPE to your command list as the commands "U" and "UB" respectively. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 3. Configuration | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Edit EQU.CFG, which is documented within. Most of the lines are just for text which is printed, so configuration isn't something heinously complex. Note that both EQU.PCB and the file specified in Line #1 of EQU.CFG will be shown to the user before the uploading process. If you only want to show one of them (or none of them), simply delete EQU.PCB and/or leave Line #1 blank. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 4. It also looks great when used with Prompts Galore!. :) Otherwise, if you need to reach me for some reason, you can send internet email to "drew@xinet.com", or leave me a message on Attitude Net, or call my board: The Silicon Phalanx at 310-575-8567 and apply for access.
