LIGHTBAR KIT v1.2 (C)1994, The Calculus Group Coded by Nemesis ŚÄÄÄÄÄ ³ LiGHTBAR KiT v1.2 [PPE] Calculus Productions 1994 Coded by \”emesis (Date: 04/13/94) Designed for use on PCBoard 15.1+ ONLY. ³ ÄÄÄÄÄŁ ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ DESCRIPTION ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Simply put this is the most configurable and useful PPE you will ever download .. I have made this program with the capibility of replacing any PCBoard 15.1+ Prompt with a horizonal/vertical Lightbar which is completely changable. ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ FILES ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ This ZIP should have included: LIGHTBAR.PPE - The LiGHTBAR KiT main Program PPE LIGHTBAR.DOC - You are reading it now :) EXAMPLE.DOC - Instructions on using the included example CNFs MSG.CNF - CNF for a replacement for the End of MSG prompt like Al Bundy's Footer PPE MORE.CNF - CNF for a replacement for the MORE [Y]es,etc Prompt FSE.CNF - CNF for a replacement for the Fullscreen Editor Command Prompt MAINM.CNF - CNF for a replacement for the Main Menu (more of an example than a practical main menu) CALCULUS.NFO - Info on CALCULUS PPE Programming group FILE_ID.DIZ - Desc file for this PPE ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ INSTALLATION ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ First you will need to copy all the include files into a seperate directory where you wish to store your Lightbar.ppe and Cnfs (this could be your PPE directory off of PCB if you wish). Due to the fact that The LiGHTBAR KiT is rather powerful its setup is not as easy as most PPEs. This program is totall Generic in every way. You tell the PPE what where and how to do everything in setting up your Lightbar. This is accomplished by the means of a Config (.CNF) file for each prompt created. I have included some of my favorite lightbar prompts that I have created by means of including several CNF files. These will serve to teach as well as to provide some pre-configed prompts that allow you to get going with little to no work. The config files are set up in this mannor: Line 1 - Y Pos of Title Line 2 - X pos of Title Line 3 - Title or filename to be displayed (file must be in form %PATH\FILE) Line 4 - Type of Lightbar - Horizonal:1 / Vertical:2 Line 5 - Color of Non-Highlighted Text Line 6 - Color of Highlighted Text Line 7 - Number of Options Line 8 - Y Position of First Item - C for Current Y position Line 9 - Starting X Position of First Item Line 10 - Text for First Option Line 11 - What should be Keyboard Stuffed for this option Continue on repeating line 8-11 for each item Line 1: This is Simply the Y position for the title text. If "C" is placed on this line the PPE will simply use the current Y position. Line 2: This is the X position for the title text. Simple enough.. Line 3: This is the text to be displayed for the title OR the filename to be displayed before the LiGHTBAR is shown. To display text simply enter in the text (@ Codes/ANSI accepted) OR to show a file simply create a file and place it in the same directory as the PPE and CNF files and place a "%" followed by the filename on this line. Line 4: This is the MENUTYPE line. This line tells LiGHTBAR KiT if this is a Horizonal or a Vertical Prompt. This is needed to tell the PPE which keyset to allow (left/right or up/down). 1: is horizonal 2: is vertical Line 5: This is the PCB @ code for the Non-Hilighted Color. In other words this is the color that all items that are not currently highlighted by the Lightbar will be displayed in. Line 6: This is the PC @ code for the Highlighted Color. In other words this is the color that all items currently "Lightbared" will be displayed in. Line 7: This is the number of Items available on the Lightbar prompt. THIS NUMBER MUST BE EXACTLY CORRECT OR THE PPE WILL FAIL! Line 8: This is the Y position for the First Item. If a "C" is placed on this line the current Y position will be used. Line 9: This is the X position for the First Item. Line 10: This is the Text to be displayed for the First Item. Line 11: This is the Key or Keys that are to be passed to PCBoard when the First Item is selected by pressing Enter. If ~!~ is placed on this line the user will be prompt for a command (this is usefull if you do not want to display all items onthe Lightbar and wish to add a OtherCmd prompt to allow other commands) * And now you can put a !C:\PATH\PPE.PPE to run a ppe at this selection, works just like PCBTEXT insertions for PPE running. Line 12: Same as line 8 except for item 2.. Continue repeating lines 8-11 until you have created the number of items listed on line 7. After you have created a .CNF file for your prompt you simply find the prompt you wish to replace in PCBTEXT and enter the following line in place of the prompt: !C:\PCB\PPE\LIGHTBAR.PPE CONFIG ³ ³ ĄYour path to your PPE's ĄThe name of the config file minus the .CNF and thats it.. I have provided a EXAMPLE.DOC to tell you where and what to put for the provided CNF prompts. If you have any problems.. call Ground Zero BBS 803-855-9848.. Choose Feedback on the matrix and write me a message telling me your problem, your BBS name, you BBS #, and set me up and account as NEMESIS and pick a password for me and leave that in the message as well..
