An additional editor will make your users able to add their own lines... Usually, they put some rumours as "Heard about a new game from ID !! seek!" or sometimes some funny things about other users... This is why it is called RUMOURS... The prompt has been enhanced to handle a DOSKEY function ! Any user that log on your board will be able to recall his previous commands just by typing the UP/DOWN keys and edit them with the LEFT/RIGHT keys ! The last 50 commands of each users are saved... Commands are limited to a length of 158 chars - (Your Prompt Lenght). To Install this PPE, just replace the prompt #396 (the main menu prompt) with PCBTEXT... Then you may edit the PROMPT.DEF to match your needs. That should be all that you need to do ! To install the Rumour editor, put tagedit somewhere in your CMD.LST... You can give access to everybody if you want fun here, or keep it for sysops/cosysops to show news about your system... If you want to customize the rumour editor, edit TAGEDIT, TAGMENU & VIEWTAGS... also, edit TAGEDIT.CFG... _.LoNE RuNNeR PS : This PPE is compiled with PPLC 3.0... so you can use it with PCB 15.2+ For now you cannot decompile it with PPLD but I'm sure that it will be possible very soon :). Then you will be able to look my code... So look, learn or laugh, but please, don't spread any modification without prior permission, and don't put any backdoor in this little piece of code...
