ConfMenu New In Version 6.3 New Registration Code Routines added. Your old registration numbers are no longer valid. You will need to get a new KEY file. The information on how to obtain it is in the NEWKEY.TXT file. It is free to all existing registered sysops. Minor code tweaking. Please note that all files must reside in the PPE directory. If you want to store display/color files (in the TBL file) in a subdirectory of the PPE directory, you can by ONLY giving the subdirectory name and filename. The PPE Path will be pre-pended to the entry. Added checking for the J;N and J;P options for attempt to skip past the high conference number or before the Main Menu respectively. Updated Writing of USERNET file to restore it to previous condition after exiting Few other minor alterations I HOPE will speed it up (it still seems as slow as a I remember but hopefully... CONF-REG.PPE - Minor Code Tweaking. Improved scanning time for name by replacing a loop that scanned the entire user file getting each user name, when only one call was necessary to find the user name (or lack of). Also, no longer exits if it doesn't find a name, but rather lets you go back and find a different name. -When Locking a user out of conferences, the ppe now clears ALL flags, then proceeds to lock them out. -If someone wants it (and reminds me) it ought to be pretty easy to add Netstatus to the list of flags that can be set (it is already cleared during a lockout. CMW.PPE - Minor tweaking to improve performance somewhat. All Intelec Software is now owned by John Young Support and Programming now done by Herbert Bushong ===================================================================================== New In Version 6.2 (09-16-95) Changed how ConfMenu determines if a conference should be masked or not. Instead of a single entry in CONFMENU.TBL which would apply to all networks, now you can mask on a net by net basis. Now you will add a new line to each nets entry in CONFMENU.TBL after the table file's name and before the column number. See DOC file for details. New In Version 6.1 (07-02-95) Fixed bug where it was looking for PROMPTS.EXT even if EXT didn't exist. Fixed a bug with the N and P subcommands (join Next & join Prev). Added capability to display a pre-made screen for one or more particular nets or groups, and still use ConfMenu for others. See the CONFMENU.TBL section of the CONFMENU.DOC file for details on how to enable this. New In Version 6.0 Recompile. New Reg Codes Needed - See NEW-REG.NUM file. Now as a menu option is the letter H, to display a help file. This file is called HELP and must be located in the PPE directory. Also supported with this file is full LANG, GRAPHIC and SECURITY levels. ConfMenu now includes a bonus PPE called Conf-Reg, to allow local or remote user maintenance as far as the removal or restoring of access to network conferences! See CONF-REG.DOC for more info. ConfMenu now utilizes TPA technology so you will need to install a TPA called CWPPE via PCBSM. See the TPA section in the CONFMENU.DOC file. The PROMPTS.CM file is now renamed to PROMPTS for multilingual support. An update to the PROMPTS file. The menu prompt in Confmenu is now two lines due to added features. Instead of reading line 2 in the prompt file for the menu prompt, it reads both lines 12 and 13. We also added added lines 10 and 11 to the prompt file to show which is toggled, the display of the FEPBD flags for each confernece, or each conference's total number of active messages. Yes, ConfMenu can now display, on the fly, the total number of active messages in each conference displayed! This is toggle-able by the user so users can have it the way THEY like it. The best just keeps getting better!! New In Version 5.9 Minor code tweaking and recompile under PPLC 3.1 for PCBoard v15.21 New In Version 5.8 Just another little bug fix. In 3 column mode with the FEPBD codes turned off, an extra carriage return was being sent thus showing a blank line in the header. Thanks again to Gary Inman. New In Version 5.7 Reduced code size by almost 40%! It now needs less memory and should no longer be a problem for those using DesqView. And it's also alot faster now due to reduced code. Fixed bug where a blank line was displayed in the conference name area if a user either A) was not registered in a private conference, or B) did not have enough security to access a public conference. Fixed bug where a blank line was displayed in the header IF the "FEPBD Code Display" was turned off. Fixed. Thanks to Gary Inman of WLA BBS for spotting this one. New In Version 5.6 Minor code tweak, cosmetic refinements, etc. New In Version 5.5 ConfMenu now displays conferences in a more readable columnar format. Meaning instead of reading conferences from left to right, line after line, conferences are now displayed column by column. And while ConfMenu is reading conference names into memory (a brief few seconds) a scanning status line is displayed at the top of the screen. Thanks to Stacy Smith for helping to describe this method to me.
