EZU.EXE - Copyright 1992 by Daryl Stogner This PCBoard utility program has been released as FREEWARE! --------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT IT DOES: I'm often tinkering with USERNET.XXX in the latest release of PCBoard and never could remember the command format for changing a nodes status, let alone the STATUS command letters for the various settings. (See below) status values: A=Available for chat G=Group chat P=Paging the Sysop B=Out of code in DOS L=Logoff pending R=Chat request sent C=Chat with Sysop M=Message S=Answering Script D=In a DOOR N=Node Chat T=Transferring File E=Entering a message O=Logging in U=Unavail for chat W=Waiting for Node X=Drop DOS pending Y=No caller online Z=Node is offline Anyway... I created EZU.EXE to make the task alot easier! It asks all of the appropriate questions and then places your answers in the correct command line format and modifies USERNET.XXX for you. When that is completed, EZU then either let's you exit the program or gives you the option to view your work using PCBMONI.EXE that comes with PCBoard. It's a simple util, but makes less work for you! --------------------------------------------------------------------- REQUIREMENTS: PCBMONI.EXE from Clark Development (PCBoard) USERNET.EXE from Clark Development (PCBOARD) PCB145.EXE latest release from Clark Development (PCBOARD) These programs are available from Salt Air BBS to registered PCBoard Sysops. --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUGGESTED USES FOR EZU: 1. To clear USER names if a node locks up and you are calling from a REMOTE location. 2. To leave a short note why a node is down. 3. To place phony caller names on a non-existent Node for fun: Ross Perot, Bill Clinton and George Bush in a Group Chat? --------------------------------------------------------------------- WARNING: This utility program works if you answer the prompts correctly. Failure to provide the proper information could cause your BBS to LOCK-UP! or damage the USERNET.XXX file! Make sure you have proper Path names and use correct commands in this program. USERNET status commands are displayed within this program to help you. I can be contacted at my BBS listed below if you need help or on U'NI-net Interntaional Echo Mail Network - (SHAREWARE CONFERENCE).
