ࡱ> Root Entry F3ښ |P dhQ 'dh using MS Visual C++ 2.1. This package contains the port of Flex 2.4.7 to the 32bit Windows 95 platform. The package was compiled using MS Visual C++ 2.1. Dont expect anything fancy like a GUI. This is merely a console application which takes advantage of long file names and 32bit OS. Prerequisites 1) You must have the Bison 1.24 port to Windows 95. Bison 1.24 is located in a different dirrectory. Follow the instructions for building Bison. Building FLEXLIB.LIB This library is necessary for programs that use FLEX without BISON. 1) From withing MSVC 2.1 workbench, open flexlib.mak and build it. 2) Copy flexlib.lib to a shared dirrectory. Building FLEX247.EXE 1) Copy initscan.c to scan.c 2) Invoke Bison and the following commands: bison124 -d parse.y copy parse_tab.c parse.c copy parse_tab.h parse.h 3) Open and build flex247.mak from the MSVC 2.1 workbench. 4) Invoke the new Flex executable from a console in the source dirrectory by using the following command line: flex247 -ist scan.l > scan.c 5) Rebuild Flex from the MSVC 2.1 workbench. 6) The executable is now ready. Copy it to a shared dirrectory and also copy the C++ header file FlexLexer.h to a standard include dirrectory. I hope you find this port useful. Bison 1.24Notes:- You need this application to build Flex 2.4.7. - Bison uses 2 skeletone files to generate the parser code. These files are called bison.simple and bison.hairy. I have set default location for these file to c:\tools\share. To change this default you can do one of two things: 1) Set two environment variables as follows: SET BISON_SIMPLE=c:\mydir\bison.simple SET BISON_HAIRY=c:\mydir\bison.hairy or 2) See Building BISON124.EXE below. BISON124 1) 2=U`|("EOPQT & - : f g y j-ab%&(FRWbuU]cU]c]c_ LMyz{| ()de!" Q: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! !!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!;!!!!!! ![L0,K@Normala "A@"Default Paragraph FontChange the file files.c. The following 2 lines contain the location of the default skeletone files used by Bison to generate the source code: #define XPFILE "c:\\tools\\share\\bison.simple" #define XPFILE1 "c:\\tools\\share\\bison.hairy" You must change these defaults to point to your own shared dirrectory. 2) Open and build bison124.mak from within the MSVC 2.1 workbench. 3) Copy the executable to a shared binary dirrectory. 4) Bison uses 2 skeletone files (bison.simple and bison.hairy) which should be copied to a shared dirrectory.
