- FixReg v.1.0 ShareWare - ** Copyright (C) 1995 Wiley C. Wimberly, Jr. ** FixReg can be used to restore the registry to the settings used on the last successful boot. This can be extremely useful in those situations where an ill-mannered installation program makes changes without bothering to ask for permission; such as associating every known file type to its application, or worse causing your system to crash. Also comes in handy if you wreck your registry while doing a little tweaking. Usage: FIXREG /FIX -Restores the registry to the condition it was in at the last successful boot. FIXREG /UNFIX -Restores the registry to the condition it was in prior to running FixReg. ** WARNING ** FixReg can not solve all problems. FixReg simply copies System.da0 to System.dat and User.da0 to User.dat after making a backup of all 4 files. Win95 updates System.da0 and User.da0 on each successful boot. Remember: The author can not be held responsible for any damage you do to your system by using FixReg or by messing with these files. Please be careful. ** FixReg is ShareWare ** FixReg may be distributed freely and can be uploaded to a BBS or online service. If you use FixReg and find it helpful, please register.
