Transcribing Conversations in All Channels

Complete the following steps to transcribe conversations in all persistent channels and dynamic channels on the server.

To transcribe conversations in all channels

1. From the Chat Service Manager utility, select a chat server under Microsoft Exchange Chat Service in the left pane.
2. Select Extensions in the left pane.
3. Verify that the Channel Transcription extension is displayed in the right pane. If it is not, from the Action menu, choose New, and then choose Add extension. Select the Channel Transcription extension, and then choose OK.
4. Select the Channel Transcription extension in the right pane, and then from the Action menu, choose Properties.
5. To transcribe conversations in all persistent channels by default, select the New persistent channels check box, and then choose OK.
6. To transcribe conversations in all dynamic channels by default, select the New dynamic channels check box, and then choose OK.

Tip You can also start transcribing conversations in all persistent channels from a chat client using the following command:

EXTMSG TSCRIPT START PERSISTENT
