RAS Client Configuration

When configuring the RAS client, you must create a RAS phone book entry on the Microsoft Exchange Server computer and configure that entry to use only TCP/IP.

Complete the following steps to create a RAS phone book entry.

1. From the Start menu, choose Programs, and then choose Accessories.
2. Choose Dial-Up Networking.
3. Create a phone book entry by choosing New, and then following the instructions in the wizard.
4. Enter a description and the phone number of the RAS server.
5. With the phone book entry open, choose More.
6. From the list, select Edit entry and modem properties.
7. Select the Server tab.
8. Under Network protocols, select TCP/IP. Make sure that no other protocol is selected.
