Configuring the Modem and Port

Use the following procedure to configure the modem and port.

1. In Control Panel, double-click the Network icon.
2. Select the Services tab.
3. Select Remote Access Service, and then choose Properties. If Remote Access Service does not appear, choose Add to install it.
4. Verify the Port and Device settings, and then choose Configure.
5. If you want bidirectional connectivity, under Port Usage, select Dial out and Receive calls.
