About This Guide

This manual is divided into two parts and four appendixes to provide you with comprehensive information about migrating from your existing system to Microsoft Exchange Server.

Part 1 "Planning Your Migration"   Provides an overview of the factors you need to consider when planning and testing a migration strategy, describes how to use the Migration Wizard to import migration files into Microsoft Exchange Server, and how to use the Directory Import and Directory Export commands to make changes to directory objects.

Part 2 "Migrating from Foreign Systems"   Describes how to migrate from a variety of messaging systems to Microsoft Exchange Server.

Appendixes   Contain supplementary information about migration.
