Database Circular Logging

Circular logging writes over transaction log files after the data has been committed to the database, which reduces disk storage requirements. However, if circular logging is enabled, differential and incremental backups cannot be performed. For more information about performing backups, see Microsoft Exchange Server Maintenance and Troubleshooting.

  1. Select the Advanced tab.
  2. Select Directory to enable circular logging of directory files, or Information store to enable circular logging of database files in the information store.
