Setting Up Your Site

Setting up your site involves configuring several aspects of Microsoft Exchange Server. You must set defaults and values for the following areas before you can use Microsoft Exchange Server.

DS Site Configuration   Settings for deleting objects, creating and scheduling an offline Address Book, and specifying custom attributes.

Information Store Site Configuration   Settings for specifying a public folder container, enabling message tracking, creating top-level folders, establishing storage warnings, and connecting to public folders in other sites.

Public Folder Server Setup   Settings for the public folder server.

Public Folder Setup   Settings for creating and designing public folders, establishing the public folder hierarchy, and configuring the Address Book for public folders.

MTA Site Configuration   Settings for routing undeliverable messages, enabling message tracking, and defining messaging defaults.

Site Addressing   Settings for routing messages, establishing a schedule for routing table calculation, and defining site addresses.
