You can create a new mailbox in one of the following ways:
Before setting up a mailbox, determine if more than one user will access it. If you configure a mailbox for a single user, the mailbox is associated with the user's Windows NT user account. If you configure a mailbox for several users, the mailbox is associated with each member's Windows NT user account.
After you create user accounts and mailboxes, you can customize the mailbox properties. For example, you can specify the mailbox owner's phone number and department name.
For more information about Windows NT user accounts, see your Windows NT documentation. For information about creating mailboxes for users who have migrated from other systems, see Microsoft Exchange Server Migration.
You can use the Administrator program to create a mailbox for one or more existing Windows NT user accounts.
You can create a new mailbox when you create a user account.
