Using GetRight this way is as easy as using your web browser. Any Web Browser (or any other program): GetRight monitors the contents of the clipboard to see if a web link (URL) is copied into the clipboard. When a web link (of the correct file type) is copied to the clipboard, GetRight starts up to get the file. DETAILS: * Find a file you wish to get in your web browser. Click with the RIGHT mouse button on the link (often blue, underlined text) to get a menu of choices. * Using Netscape: pick "Copy link location" from the menu. * Using Microsoft (95/NT): pick "Copy shortcut" from the menu. * Using Microsoft (3.1): pick "Properties" from the menu, then select the text in the URL box in the window that appears and press Ctrl-C to copy it to the clipboard. * Or from ANY program--email, word processor, a different web browser, or anything else where you may see a URL--select the link text (looks like http://xxx.xxx.xxx/file.name or ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx/file.name) and press Ctrl-C to copy the text to the clipboard. * For the common download types (such as .EXE .ZIP, etc.), GetRight will automatically startup to download the file as soon as the text is copied. * For most other types, GetRight will ask you whether it should download the file or not. (See the online help for more information, options, and other methods to start downloading using GetRight.) ================================================================================
