Welcome to Cthugha97. These tips will let you know about various tricks that you can do to add to your enjoyment of Cthugha97 If the sound levels are always too low, try turning on the Double Sound flag If the 3D version is running too slowly, try turning on the 3D/Faster option You can lock Cthugha so that it keeps showing the same style wave/palettes/etc by pressing the 'L' key. Pressing it again will unlock Cthugha If you put Cthugha in charge of the CD (by pressing the CD icon on the toolbar) then Cthugha will be able to detect the CD and track that are currently playing. The 'P' key will cycle through different palettes. The Left and right arrow keys will change CD tracks. Pink Floyd are cool. The registered version of Cthugha97 will have scripting that even recognises the CD you are playing and use a set configuration for it. The 'W' key will cycle through different waves. The official Cthugha web site is www.afn.org/~cthugha where you will find versions for DOS,Linux,Mac,X and Win95 The 'F' key will cycle through different flames. You can send your feedback to cthugha@torps.apana.org.au The 'D' key will cycle through different display functions. The SpaceBar will randomly select a new combination of display parameters. Cthugha was originally designed and programmed by Kevin Burfitt. There are now versions for the Mac, Linux, X, Win95 and DOS. All have sourcecode freely available! The 'L' key will lock Cthugha97 to the current combination. You can still change the combination manually, but Cthugha will not change things by itself. The 'T' key will rotate through some palette lookup tables, which may or may not be interesting Cthugha97 will load 8-bit PCX files and display them randomly while running. The 'X' key will load a random PCX file to the screen for a moment, before it gets washed away by Cthugha Cthugha97 will load the old DOS TAB files (from Cthugha DOS) and perform the rotations regardless of the current resolution!
