WINCAT/PRO FEATURES
-------------------
*  WinCat/PRO is easy to use
*  WinCat/PRO is FAST ! (developed with Turbo Pascal for Windows)
*  WinCat/PRO uses state-of-the-art graphics to display data from it's
   catalog.You can choose from a variety of display modes.       
*  English, French, German and Dutch language support
*  Ability to restore files or extract files from archives. WinCat/PRO
   interfaces to all DOS and Windows unarchive utilities (like ARJ, LHA,
   PKUNZIP, WUNA, WINZIP etc.) and other programs using user-defined
   associations.
*  WinCat/PRO can play WAV soundfiles
*  Kingsize comment fields (up to 500 characters) on both file- and
   volume-entries
*  Reads subdirectories up to 6 levels deep
*  Supports various disktypes (floppydisk, CD-ROM, harddisk, networkdisk etc.)

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
-------------------
In order to run properly, WinCat/PRO requires
 * MicroSoft Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.11
 * (S)VGA display mode (EGA mode not supported)
 * at least 4 MB memory
 * at least 2 MB space on your harddisk
 * at least 1 diskdrive, harddisk or CD-ROM drive

Recommended :
 * Mouse or other pointing device
 * WinZip ((c) Nico Mak Computing, Inc.) for extracting archive files

Optional :
 * if you want to print disklabels : a printer capable of printing graphics


INSTALLATION
------------
The easiest (and recommended) way to install WinCat/PRO is to use the
INSTALL program.


MANUAL INSTALLATION
-------------------
If you don't want to use the automatic installation procedure, you
can install WinCat/PRO this way. Refer to WINCAT.HLP for more information.

1) create directory C:\WINDOWS\WINCAT
2) create directory C:\WINDOWS\WINCAT\ARCHIVES
3) copy the files to the C:\WINDOWS\WINCAT directory
4) Rename file INSTALL.BIN to INSTALL.ZIP 
5) extract INSTALL.ZIP into C:\WINDOWS\WINCAT (using PKUNZIP)
6) edit WINCATRS.BAT (specify directory of LHA, ARJ and PKUNZIP.EXE)
7) move file CTL3DV2.DLL to the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
8) add WINCAT.EXE and WOODLE.EXE to a Windows program group
   (specify C:\WINDOWS\WINCAT as 'working directory') 
9) GO!
