(C) POWERI for DOS by Patesoft GENERAL ------- POWERI is program to advise designing small regulated power supplies. POWERI-package includes two programs for different use. There is also a version of POWERI for AMIGA compatible computers. POWERI is freeware and it may be redistributed freely but ONLY in the original full package. PROGRAM#1 --------- Program shows the dc volttage which you'll get from transformer and the dc currents value, also ripple voltage and diodebridges values. When you have enter the values of your trasformer (volttage, watts). PROGRAM#2 --------- Program shows the values of required transformer, diodebridge and filter capacitors and also a type of suitable voltage regulator when you have enter required output voltage and highest current. Voltage must be between 1,2 and 30 V, highest possible current is 5 A. BUILDING -------- Building must be done with care. Regulator must be mounted to heatsink, which must be dimensioned according to load. If the cooling is not sufficient the regulator may warm up too much. In that case it may damage or internal thermal overload protection turns voltage off. It is recommended to use silicone heat transfer compound between regulator and the heatsink to improve heat transfer from regulator to the heatsink. NOTE! ----- THE PERSON WHO BUILDS THAT SORT OF DEVICES SHOULD HAVE SOME KIND OF EXPERIENCE OF ELECTRONICS. THE PROGRAM WRITER(S) IS NOT RESPONSIBLE NEITHER FOR THE POSSIBLE ERRORS OCCURING NOR FOR THE INDIVIDUAL MISUSES OF THE PROGRAM. All questions, comments and suggestions of this program are welcome!
