Windows 95 allows users to specify custom settings for each dial-up profile. These instructions assume you have already completed the steps to set up Windows 95 to successfully access one Internet provider. If you have not, please refer to the instructions on the Windows95.com TCP/IP Setup Page. _________________________________________________________________ Step 1: Set up the Connection Icon for Your Additional Internet Account [INLINE] Open up My Computer from the desktop and double-click the Dial-Up Networking icon. Double-click the Make New Connection icon. This will walk you through the Make New Connection wizard. The first dialog box looks like this. Fill in all the necessary settings (as you did for your original Internet connection). In the Server Type dialog box (which looks like this), you'll see the TCP/IP Settings... button. Press it and you'll see a TCP/IP Settings dialog box for that connection profile only. It looks like this. Put in the necessary information for this connection (refer to your previous connection, or to the Windows95.com TCP/IP Setup Page for instructions on these settings) then press OK. You do not have to change the TCP/IP settings in the Network dialog box in the Control Panel. _________________________________________________________________ Step 2: Complete your Configuration and Dial Your Provider [INLINE] Make sure all your other settings are correct. You are new ready to dial either provider, simply by double-clicking their icons in the Dial-up Networking folder. _________________________________________________________________ ©1995 Steve Jenkins Microsoft, MS, Windows, Windows 95, and the Windows logo are either registered trademarks or trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.
