JL-STEREO Version 2.00 (C)opyright 1993 By Jani Laatikainen ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please remember, that i am not responsible for any harm caused to your computer by this schematic. This worked well with my computer, but anything is possible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Couple of minor bugs were repaired by Juhani Suhonen... Don't get angry Jari! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You might have seen schematics for Stereo-D/A which use D/A-chip (or two), i designed schematic, which does not, only 10 resistors, 2 transistors, two capacitors are needed. Here's the schematic : RS232C 1 ÄÄÄÄÄÄ 10 Kê ÄÄÄÄ¿ 2 ÄÄÄÄÄÄ 640 Kê Ä¿ ³ ÄEÄÄÄ¿ 3 ÄÄÄÄÄÄ 320 Kê Ä´ ÀB´ ³ ÄÄ TR1 4 ÄÄÄÄÄÄ 160 Kê Ä´ ÄCÄ¿ ³ 5 ÄÄÄÄÄÄ 80 Kê ÄÄ´ ³ ³ 6 ÄÄÄÄÄÄ 40 Kê ÄÄÅÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ´ ³ 7 ÄÄÄÄÄÄ 20 Kê ÄÄ´ ³ ³ 10æF 8 ÄÄÂÄÄÄ 10 Kê ÄÄ´ ³ À¶ÃÄÄÄÄÄÄ> Right out 12 ÄÄÙ ³ ³ 9 ÄÄÂÄÄÄ 5 Kê ÄÄÄÙ ÄCÄÙ + 10æF 11 ÄÄÙ ÚB´ ÚĶÃÄÄÄÄÄÄ> Left out 14 ÄÄÄÄÄÄ 10 Kê ÄÄÄÄÙ ÄEÄÄÙ 18-25 ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ> Gnd TR1 and TR2 are BC307 / 2SA564 or compatible. ³ Use %1 or %2 resistors, it sounds much better. TR 2 NOTES : 1. When connecting to home-stereos, make sure, that you are using good cable, cause without that, your C0V0X will make ztrange voices during loading disk and starting playing! 2. Make ABSOLUTELY sure, that you have connected RS-232's pins correct! If you have connected them incorrectly, you can damage you system PERMANENTLY! 3. Do not EVER sell yuor made C0V0X to your friend or something, cause if errors occurs, (S)he will absolutely sure come to bark you and may want (a lot of) money, so (S)he can take machine to customer!
