Introduction
------------
PMPrep is a shareware OS/2 Presentation Manager program that converts
uuencoded and uudecoded files. Multiple part uuencoded files can be
converted as well as files which contain non-uuencoded data such as
mail-headers.
PMPrep lets you customize the uuencode/uudecode proccess to suite your
preferences.
PMPrep features an easy to use yet powerful drag'n drop user interface
and utilizes multiple threads for best multitasking performance.
PMPrep works on OS/2 version 2.1 and above.
Installation
------------
Copy the file PMPrep.exe the help (.hlp and .inf) files and the resource
files (.dll) to a directory of your choice.
If you don't want to view the online help outside PMPrep (using the
view command) you can delete the .inf files.
If you want to start PMPrep from a directory other than the current
directory you need to include the path name where the .dll files resides
in the LIBPATH environment variable.
See your OS/2 command reference for more information about the LIBPATH.
You also need to include the path name where the .hlp files reside in
the HELP environment variable.
Once you have chosen the language you want to use in PMPrep you can
delete the other language specific files (.dll and .hlp/.inf).
However don't delete the file pmpreprc.dll.
Please note that the first time PMPrep is started it creates a
configuration file (pmprep.ini) in the current directory.
If you later start PMPrep the pmprep.ini file is searched in the following
directories:
- The current directory
- The \OS2 directory of your OS/2 boot drive
- The directories specified in the PATH environment variable
- The directory specified by the environment variable PMPREP_INI
If PMPrep can't find the ini-file you are asked if PMPrep shall create
a new one.
Registering PMPrep
------------------
If you find PMPrep useful and want to continue using it you must
register PMPrep.
If you register PMPrep you will receive a license-key which you can
enter in the 'enter registration key dialog'.
If the license information is entered correctly, the 'product
information dialog' does no longer pop up when starting PMPrep
and after converting files.
Prices:
- Single license: 32 USD or 45 DM.
This includes updates for versions up to 2.50.
- License upgrade for PMPrep up to version 3.00: 11 USD or 15 DM.
- License upgrade for PMPrep up to version 4.00: 14 USD or 20 DM.
- Upgrade of version 1.x to versions up to 2.50: 11 USD or 15 DM
- Shipping the current version of PMPrep
- Inside europe and international surface mail: 2 USD or 3 DM
- International air mail: 4 USD or 5 DM

Update policy:

You can download new versions of PMPrep as they become available.
See the section 'where to get new versions' for information on
where new versions will be made available.
Please note that it might be neccessary to delete your old configuration
file (pmprep.ini) when you upgrade to a new version of PMPrep.
You will have to reenter the license data in this case.
Please also note that the update prices don't include shipping.
If you can't receive updates via email or download them yourself
you will have to pay for shipping.

Where to get new versions
-------------------------
New versions of PMPrep will be uploaded to the ftp site hobbes.nmsu.edu
directory /os2/archiver filename pmprpXXX.zip where XXX is the version number.
If you don't have Internet access you can order the latest version of PMPrep.

License agreement
-----------------
PMPrep is shareware. You are allowed to test and use this program for
30 days.
After this period you must register your copy, if you want to continue
using it.
For information on how to register PMPrep see the registration information
provided above.
You may freely distribute the shareware version of PMPrep, but only the
complete and unaltered archive.
You may use the registered version on one machine. If you want to use
your registered version on more than one machine you need to purchase
additional licenses.
Ask the author for quantity discounts (for more than 3 licenses)!
Distribution of the registered version or of the registration key is
strongly prohibited !
The author does not guarantee for the correctness of the program.
The author also may not be held responsible for any loss of data or other
damages caused by the use of PMPrep. The author does not guarantee that the
program can be used for a specific purpose.
If you want to distribute the program in conjunction with other software
