Poker Solitaire 1.10 Copyright (c) 1989 -- Roger Smith Poker Solitaire is a simple card game. The computer deals one card at a time. You place the card somewhere in a 5x5 matrix. When choosing a spot for the card remember that you are trying to form the 12 (5 rows, 5 columns, 2 diagonals) best poker hands. The score for each hand is: Royal Flush 500 Straight Flush 300 Four of a Kind 160 Straight 120 Full House 100 Three of a Kind 60 Flush 50 Two Pair 30 Pair 10 Begin the game by selecting 'New Game' from the 'Play' menu. The pointer will become the current card. Move the pointer with the arrow keys or mouse to the desired position and press the mouse button or the return key to drop the card. Press the space bar or select 'Hint' from the Main Menu to have the computer suggest a good spot for the current card. Each time a hand is filled, the current score is updated. After all 25 cards have been dealt, the pointer changes back to an arrow. Choose 'New Game' to play again or select 'Computer Play' from the 'Play' menu to let the computer play with the same cards you were just dealt. The computer takes over the pointer for a brief time as it plays the game. The displayed high score is not changed if the computer is able to beat your highest score. Select 'Exit Poker' under the 'Exit' menu to end the program. --------------------------------------------------------- A Royal Flush is the 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace all of the same suit (heart, club, diamond, spade).
