INSTALLATION FOR CorelVentura PATCH TO UPDATE Revison any F revision To F5

This patch will update any English  CorelVentura Revision F (1, 2 or 5) to the 
latest Revison F5.

For ease of downloading the text filters have been made available in 
additional files posted here. It is advised that users update their 
text filters as well.  Note that Text filters are not language specific.

NOTE: Reference to the C:\COREL50 path is used throughout this  
README file to indicate the directory where Corel version 5.0  
products are installed. Please substitute the drive and  
directory paths specific to your system, if they differ.

1. Copy F5PATCH.EXE & PATCH.RPT into the programs directory 
where the Corel 5.0 applications are installed. Default is 
C:\COREL50\PROGRAMS.

2.From Program Manager click on File - Run and type 
C:\COREL50\PROGRAMS\F5PATCH.EXE  for the command line and click 
OK. (Where C:\COREL50 is the directory where Corel 5.0 
applications have been installed)

3.Once the operation is completed, F5PATCH.EXE and PATCH.RPT 
can be deleted from the C:\COREL50\PROGRAMS directory.

This patch does not contain any filters, they may be downloaded 
separately.

Note to users who have updated to CorelVentura 5 F5 before September 30th, 1995.

It has come to our attention that under certain circumstances, the    
file size of a Publications (.PUB files) can grow after many saves and 
reopens when using Ventura F5.  This release of Ventura (CORELVP.EXE 
dated September 18, 1995 for English ) will prevent this from happening with any 
future publications. If you have PUB files that have grown larger than 
100K you may want to recreate it by adding the existing chapters to a new 
publication and delete the old .PUB file using file manager 
(not Publication Manager).
